nelody, a berlin-based freelance dance artist originally from finland, explores and researches the connections between various dance cultures and styles since 2014.

with her artistic research and dance philosophy, conFUSION concept, she experiments the unexpected fusion of dance styles and the "in-between-spaces" of dance styles and performance contexts, from stage performances to dance battles or dance films/screen dance.

nelody’s dancing background originates from hip hop and contemporary dance, popping, house, waving and other illusionary dance forms.

next to her artistic work, nelody actively creates spaces to initiate and develop the "cross-genre discourse" within the dance scene(s), in order to allow dancers and the diverse dance communities to connect, experiment and learn with and from each other. She works with diverse live musicians, and regularly hosts events with live music to support and enable the rediscovery of the social, spiritual and anthropologic contexts of dance.
